2023: Shattering Expectations

2023 has been an amazing year for SDHosted, we are so blessed that we can create and emcee fun events for the San Diego area. To say we have grown is an understatement, SDHosted is slowly becoming the leader in cultivating fun events that are distinct and combine different elements of games.

We didn't do this on our own folks, there are some fantastic brains at our venues who give us the tools and ideas to create amazing events for San Diego. When this company first started we only hosted trivia, this year, in addition to the new smaller unique events we hosted, we hosted huge events, that shut down streets and landed us on the news... Twice!

Our Biggest Year

We hosted over 300 events this year, including many unique events such as the 2000 person event, Sing. Dance. Crawl. A bar crawl that had people running the streets of Downtown San Diego to different bars and clubs. We hosted the karoake portion, which was an asbolute blast and featured a crowd of about 1600 people in the House of Blues! Oh yeah we will be back for this in 2024.

We also hosted the East Village Oktoberfest, which saw over 3500 attendees! This is the biggest event we've hosted to date and shut down 4 blocks of East Village in downtown San Diego. We were interviewed on two separate news channels, which was very surreal and a suprise present that 2023 presented us. This event is going to be even bigger in 2024, stay tuned.

A fun weekly event that we started this year revolved around the Universe of the hit tv series, The Bachelor. We hosted viewing parties for both the Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise TV series' which proved to be a fun and hilarious event, with our next Bachelor Viewing Party starting in January 2024. These are fun because who doesn't love getting together to talk crap about contestants and play games for prizes.

Twisted Trivia at Quartyard hosted our first Summer Series, which saw over $3000 in prizes given out over 3 months. We saw over 150 UNIQUE teams in those 3 months, with about 12 teams who didn't miss a single week! The competition was ruthless folks, but in the end, team Finn Again... Took home the trophy and the $1000 grand prize!

We are now over halfway through our winter series, where team Trivia Me Harder has taken a commanding lead, but anything can happen in the next 2 months of Quartyard's Winter Series. The $100 monthly prize, as well as the $250 grand prize, are still up for grabs.

The Bingo Bananza

We have also increased the frequency of our bingo events by over 50% this year. Our first bingo event began in April, since April we have added 4 more monthly bingos at 2 different venues. This is not your traditional game of bingo, by finetuning that aspect we have seen increased retention and active participation by our patrons! This is the most unique game of bingo you will ever play, we guaranteee it. If you're interested in booking a reoccuring bingo event, reach out to us on our services page.

Whats Next?

A fun event to look forward to will be our bingo dance party, coming to a venue in San Diego in April or June of 2024. We are also developing a variety game show that will pit teams against eachother in head to head competitions. We are always looking to expand and create the next fun event that will provide San Diego with unbeatable entertainment.

We will also be opening our coveted Twisted Trivia game to other venues in San Diego, if you are a bar or venue that wants to begin a Trivia night, reach out to us on our services page. In 2023 we gained several new clients and are ready to take on more!

We want to give a shout out to the companies that booked us for private events, and the house party we hosted trivia at during the Halloween weekend! A special shout out to Tyler Maltbie for being a huge help through the growing process, you da man!

Thank you for reading, we hope to see you at our next event! Follow us on Instagram and Tik Tok to see all the fun!

Happy Holidays from SDHosted
